November / December / January releases are noted in with the Raiden aircraft listings. I'm generally trying to be prudent with new releases and schedules but expect to be able to hold to the published schedule through April. We've all seen lots of announcements which just don't happen on time / close or even. Working to be accurate. As always, if you have suggestions, please drop a line. We do have releases in mind to cover the next 24 months but it's a loose, not to be published list for internal use. Subjects . Expect to see a list which has a ration of about 5, perhaps 6 to 1 for logical planes vs what are they thinking....Well, it's one way to have the good sellers subsidize the dogs, er, ah, interesting planes without much expected demand. Planes with the asterisk (star) behind their description above have a spotface for mounting a magnet - 3/16 diameter (4.9 mm). The spotface is about .02" deep (.5mm) and is on the center of gravity.
2 September 12 OK, this announcement is a bit ahead of wrapping up the attendant website changes. *********************** 2 September 12 Southampton, England & Hastings, Michigan, USA We are proud to announce that effective immediately, Raiden Miniatures of Southampton, England has been sold to I-94 Enterprises of Hastings, Michigan, USA. This includes rights to production, masters and prototypes, manufacturing, sales, trademarks and/ or copyrights, name, websites and sundry language, property and terms. The 1/600 line of aircraft miniatures will still be made in England by Mark Cleaver but under a name other than Raiden Miniatures. These miniatures will also be available through I-94 Enterprises and manufacture of the 1/600 line will be in England under the control of Mark Cleaver. Raiden Miniatures was founded in the spring of 2007 by Mark Cleaver, who had been an integral part of B&M Miniatures in the 1990’s. I-94 Enterprises has been an importer and distributor of Raiden products since the summer of 2007. We started licensed manufacture of Raiden products in the spring of 2011. I-94 Enterprises expects to have all items in production in the US by the end of April 2013. We presently manufacture about 60+ of the 100+ items in the Raiden listings and have a number of them being mastered and tooled for US manufacture as of this release. We have banked inventory on the slower selling items in anticipation of filling customer needs until the tooling is ready for US manufacture. We apologize in advance if we’re out of an item and will rectify as expediently as practical. The molds and masters are presently enroute to I-94 Enterprises in Michigan. I-94 Enterprises has been cooperating with Raiden over the past year or so in planning and launching an increasing range of new products and processes to make a better miniature.
Quality, Cost, Delivery Very little will change with the sale of Raiden to I-94 Enterprises. We expect to hold the line on quality and costs while improving deliveries. In particular, we expect to greatly reduce delivery times, especially on volume orders. US customers will see a price cut. I-94 Enterprises is commited to maintaining Raiden’s reputation for quality both in manufacturing of masters and production miniatures alike. We will be using the same sculptors, model makers and methods which Raiden has employed while in pursuit of a better miniature. Molding machinery and molds may differ but manufacturing methods will remain the same. Distribution represents a significant change. We expect to use Magister Militum as our primary UK agent and representative.
About I-94 Enterprises Founded in 1985 by the present owner, I-94 Enterprises started as a manufacturer of storage boxes for the smaller scales of gaming miniatures. Our purchase of Beacon Publications and the Decal Detail line of decals for wargaming miniatures in January of 2002 has seen the line expand, the product improve and costs maintained now for over 10 years. Our purchase of the Les Batiments resin terrain and building line from George Nafziger in May of 2010 was a logical acquisition of a diverse and varied line, complementing our line, ‘Rolling Plains Terrain’ which we introduced in 2007. This purchase of Raiden Miniatures is a solid acquisition of a very desirable line of wargaming miniatures, dovetailing with the success of the ‘Check Your 6!’ air combat rules, introduced in the summer of 2007. I-94 Enterprises is a manufacturer of the above lines of gaming accessories and miniatures as well as a retailer of Check Your 6! air combat rules, Fight’s On air combat gaming accessories, Noble’s CY6! ‘official’ flight stand gaming mats from Noble and Hotz as well as an importer for Scotia’s 1/300 Collectair line of aircraft miniatures and agent for Scale Specialties decal line. We also stock GHQ microarmor, ships and planes as well as a limited selection of CinC miniatures as well as a good stock of MSD’s line of 1/300 aircraft minis. And, back to work we go, trying to help you stretch your hard earned, not to be squandered gaming bucks. There will be numerous changes to our websites and e-commerce presence. But, no matter what, there will always be a way for the customer to ask a question and receive a thorough and prompt response, whether by phone or email. Any open orders with Raiden in England are being filled (by our count, as of this writing, 3pm EDT, they have been completed) before packing up the operation and sending it to I-94 in Michigan. Respectfully submitted and thank you for your patronage and business, without which, there is no success..
