In general, most photos show an as cast and painted sample, along with a Panther tank in 1/285 for comparison. What you receive is the unpainted resin model.

New decal releases. While I attempt to time my releases to coincide with new CY6 books, I've missed deadline and will be a couple weeks late with new decals supporting the Korean War scenario book as well as the core 'Jet Rules'.

CY6 Updates / news

Per Scott Fisher, he expects to have both the 'jet rules' and the Korean War scenario book available for Historicon release. I'm accepting preorders and as always, do not require prepayment for items I plan to stock. If you need them, holler, we're anchoring a 'guaranteed' preorder deadline of 2 July which is a bit later than Scott's date for us.

Ya gotta have the jet rules to play the Korean scenarios. Price for core rules has yet to be established, but it looks like $35 retail; Korean scenario book is carrying a $25 retail target.

1/600 P-51D

We're at booth 14 at Cold Wars. For the customers of used microarmor, we have a large increase in on hand stock. We've also stocked up on GHQ armor and ships.

Our new decals are in as well as updated and improved JP 100, MI 109, US 115

See our decal scans page for product images.

Feb comments. JP 100 is a updated reprint. While aimed at 1/285-1/300 planes with large plane (bomber, flying boat) coverage, it's also suitable for some smaller 1/200 and 1/144 planes. Hey, a red circle is a red circle.  US 115, US armor names has also been reprinted and improved, part of our ongoing project to improve our products as feasible.

MI 109 (15 and 20mm armor) is a reprint of has been out of stock decal. We've added gun barrel kill markings ranging from 5 - 30 kills. (This was tested on sheet RU 109 for microarmor fans). These really spiff up a tank or anti tank gun.

US 138 and 139 are new releases.

US 138 is a sheet of tail stripes for US 1/285-1/300 aircraft to about May 1942. The decals are noted with applicable subject / manufacturer and are sized to be accurate vertically (the 13 stripes) but need to be trimmed to profile horizontally. Take your time, drape the decal, scrape / trim the surplus, seal, repeat for the other side. Note. Before applying the tail stripes, make sure the intersection of the rudder and horizontal stabilizer/elevator is clear of material. A cut with a razor to the model really helps in getting the decal to fit nicely..

US 139 are US insignia with yellow surrounds as used from late '1942 to spring of 1943 and beyond in some locales.

March 2010 releases.

We have a reprint of GR 104, German crosses for 15/20 mm armor (some applicability to 10/12 armor and WWI aircraft) and now includes white and yellow crosses.. LY 100 has been out of print for a while and is now reprinted. It's also an improved offering.

We have 4 new releases for March, 3 aimed at 1/285-1/300 aircraft.

US 140 US Navy early WW2 - Santa Cruz carrier group markings. While concentrating on the Battles of Coral Sea - Midway, Santa Cruz and Guad units are also addressed, as well as some of the Ranger units flying in support of the Nov '42 Torch landings. For you guys doing campaigns in the Pacific, this should ease your pain.

US 141 is a larger version of US 139, addressing as a 1 pc decal, US markings for 1/200 - 1/144 aircraft. This is our 1st venture into 1/200 aircraft markings.

US 142 are 95th and 100th B-17 Bomb Group markings for natural metal aircraft. Limited in scope due to some customer requests, it includes insignia to get a modicum of planes in the air.

FR 102 are French insignia and tail stripes for 1/300 aircraft addressing the planes covered in the Check Your 6!  'Days of Glory', battles of France scenario book due out at Cold Wars, 2010. The P-36 is included on the sheet, not in the book, well, because I like the '36 and need decals for my stuff too.....

Next round of releases start getting ready for the Korean War supplement for Check Your 6, assorted insignia improvements for most things post 1945 (includes folks I'd never thought I'd make decals for. Pakistani? Ack.) and jumping back to 15 / 20mm armor for a while. Some of you armor guys have been very patient, thank you.

8th anniversary of our ownership of Beacon - Decal Details is today. We jumped into this on 1 Feb 2002. As we roll up on our 25th anniversary (Oct 1985) of being in business, thank you. Profits have gone toward the kids' (4) college money, now working on same for the grandurchins (4, likely more) and various support causes, mostly for wounded / disabled veterans.  To those of you who have been with us for 25 years, thank you. A lot of you have become friends over the years, and we're better for having met you.

Just rolled in from a trip to Copper Harbor, Michigan. Tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula jutting into Lake Superior. Spectacular sunrise and sunset viewed from the same vantage point. Wowsers. Gorgeous weather, which won't be the case in 3 months, not with the wrath of Ol' Man Winter and the 200+ inches of snow they get per year.....

New goodies here from Raiden. 1/285 aircraft, a Ta-154 Moskito, F3H Demon and F9F-8 Cougar. In stock, $3.25 each

We have introduced a 1 oz bottle of decal solvent. Part number is IN-1066.

In support of the well received Check Your 6 air miniatures game and scenario books, we've added a page with a listing of planes by scenario book with our two featured lines, Scotia and Raiden.

We have several new lines of goodies we're exploring but announcements will be held off until everything is final and transactions completed.
